Police investigate stabbing

Just before midnight on August 7 2023, at approximately 11:58 p.m. the West Shore RCMP received a report of a stabbing that had taken place in the alleyway behind Ali-Baba’s Pizza and Serious Coffee at Millstream Village Shopping Centre, 2401 Millstream Rd, Langford.

West Shore RCMP Frontline officers and Police Dog Services immediately attended the area. Officers located a single male victim who was a security guard in the area and had suffered a stab wound after a brief interaction with a male suspect. The victim was transported to hospital where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police contained and canvassed the area to search for suspects and witnesses however none have been identified.

The suspect is described as:

• Caucasian male;
• Approximately 5’11 tall;
• Brown hair;
• wearing a black and blue hoodie and black backpack.

Police are looking to identify the suspect as well as any witnesses to this crime. If you have any information regarding this crime, please contact the West Shore RCMP by calling 250-474-2264. Police believe this incident is isolated and the public does not appear to be at risk.
