Police investigate assault with a weapon

On March 25, 2025, at approximately 6:54 a.m., West Shore RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of an assault with a weapon that had taken place at a construction site located near the 1400 block of Atlas Dr in Langford.

Police attended the scene and learned that an altercation had taken place between two adults males and that one of the males had allegedly assaulted the other male with an edged weapon.

The suspect was placed under arrest without further incident. On March 25, the suspect who is identified as a 54-year-old man, appeared before the court and was charged with Assault with a Weapon and Assault causing Bodily Harm. He was released on a Release Order with numerous conditions and an upcoming court date of April 3, 2025.

This matter is before the courts and no further information is available at this time.
