Police investigate head on collision on Sooke Road

On January 15, 2025, at approximately 5:00 a.m., West Shore RCMP responded to a report of a 2-vehicle head on collision near the 4900 block of Sooke Rd. Police along with BC Emergency Health Services and Metchosin Fire and Rescue also attended.

Police learned a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, driven by a 41-year-old woman, was travelling east bound when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Taxi travelling west bound. The taxi was being driven by a 65-year-old male, with a youth passenger. All parties suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital via Ambulance.

Sooke Rd was shut down in both directions for approximately 2 hours while emergency crews attended the scene.

Police are still investigating this collision and charges have not been laid at this time.
