Police looking for hit and run suspect

On July 4 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m. the West Shore RCMP responded to a report of hit and run collision involving a red Hyundai Elantra and black pick up truck near the 1900 block of the Trans Canada Hwy in View Royal.

Police attended the scene and determined that a Red Hyundai Elantra was travelling northbound with the black pick up truck travelling behind it. The black pickup truck came alongside the Elantra and collided into the driver's side twice. Though the occupants of the Elantra were physically unharmed the vehicle sustained significant damage.

On July 5 2024, West Shore RCMP published a media release regarding this investigation as they were looking to identify the driver. As of July 7, the driver has identified themselves and an investigation is currently underway.
