West Shore RCMP honored to be a part of Hockey Day in Canada

West Shore RCMP was honored to be a part of Hockey Day in Canada this past weekend. Thousands of people converged at Victoria’s Ship Point where Hockey Night in Canada was broadcasted live on January 20.

West Shore RCMP Indigenous and Community Police Officers were there with our Tl’Ches Spirit 35-foot Pacific Dancer Canoe crossing the inner harbour and engaging in traditional cultural protocols for the opening ceremonies. We were honored to paddle with community leaders from Esquimalt Nation, Victoria Police Department and Geronimo Canoe Club.
